Canskate Star
Canskate Star is our introduction to figure skating program. Skaters in the Canskate Star program participate in one day per week of Canskate in addition to the Canskate Star class. Canskate Star is a half an hour class additional to Canskate that builds on the fundamentals of Canskate and begins teaching skaters the basics of figure skating.

This program is by invitation only, skaters must be invited to the Canskate Star program by coaches.
Program Information and FAQ
Dress Code
Skaters in Canskate Star are required to wear form fitted clothing and have long hair tied back. Skaters may wear leggings or a skating skirt/dress and a yoga style jacket. Hoods, jeans, baggy and large bulky clothing are not permitted. Skaters are required to wear a CSA Approved Hockey Helmet.

What skates should I buy for my Canskate Star Skater?
Canskate Star is an introduction to igure skating program therefore figure skates are required for the class. The figure skates your skater wears should provide proper ankle support.

How many sessions does my skater participate in?
Skaters in Canskate Star are required to skate in two classes per week, the Canskate Star class as well an additional Canskate Class.

How can my skater join the class?
Skaters already in Canskate are assessed on their regular Canskate sessions. If you are interested in learning more about the program and how it works please email cheamsc@telus.net.
