Regan Taylor is the interim Director of Skating for the Cheam Figure Skating Club. Regan is a Level 3 Certified Coach with extensive Level 4 training and an Advanced Coaching Diploma from the National Coaching Institute. Regan was awarded the BC/YT Professional Club and Recreational Coach of Excellence Award in 2012. She holds a B.Sc. and a B.Ed. and is working on completing a Master’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology at UBC by studying developmental figure skaters. Regan also has a BC College of Teacher's Teaching Certificate and has had gold status in the Coaches Continuing Education Program since it began in 2004.
Denis is an NCCP Level 1 (Primary STARSkate) Coach who has been with the Club since 2008. Originally from Russia, he competed at the Junior level, and also travelled with the Russian skating team "Colours on Ice" to China. Denis is currently preparing to begin NCCP Level 2 Coach training.
Ceilidh first began skating with the Cheam Skating Club’s Canskate program 16 years ago. She has passed her Gold freeskate test and has competed as high as the Junior Competitive singles level. Ceilidh has won multiple Regional and Provincial skating titles throughout her career, including being crowned the Super Series Gold Ladies Champion. Ceilidh is currently a 4th year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN) student at UFV, specializing in pediatrics. She has a love for working with children and hopes to be able to pass down her love for figure skating by coaching Canskate. She has completed her Skate Canada Canskate Coach training and will be completing her next level of coach training in the fall.
Celina began skating with Cheam when she was 3 years old. She has passed her Senior Silver Freeskate Test and has recently competed at the Senior Silver (Star 10) level. She was a program assistant for 5 years before recently getting her Canskate license. Celina is currently in Grade 11 at CSS. She plans to advance her coaching certification to a higher level. Celina loves to skate and is still actively figure skating and competing, she loves to work with kids and hopes to pass her love for the sport to others.
